"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away."
- Henry David Thoreau

This Los Angeles born, Omaha raised musician is one of a kind...

Since beginning in music class at 9 years old, and onto the drum set at the age of 11, the growth of a young musician was seen at an early stage. Through garage rock/pop bands doing their best to imitate their idols (Incubus, 311, Red Hot Chili Peppers), cocktail jazz quartets, and 17 piece big bands, the spark to develop was growing.

Calvin continued his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he finished with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Degree in Drum Set Performance ('12). Soon after, Calvin began working with Royal Caribbean International Cruises, where he had the chance to travel and perform across the globe. After 5+ years with RCCL, and finishing as Musical Director on board, he made the move to the United Kingdom.

Calvin remains busy teaching private drum lessons across London. He recently finished a successful cover teacher contract teaching Music at West Drayton Primary School in West London, where he was the head of the Performing Arts and Music Program to Reception and Years 1-6. As an in-demand drummer in the capital, Calvin has also had the opportunity to perform with a multitude of projects, including a Simon and Garfunkel tribute act that has taken him across the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Australia. He also hosts and manages the weekly live conversation series The Sunday Noise, as well as the recently moved to digital music hour The Loft Sessions, Live on Instagram.

Currently, you can find him performing across the UK with various artists including HUX, Harriet Rose, and Dan Haynes. When not out on the road performing, he spends his weekends teaching private drum lessons and leading youth bands at LS18 Rocks in Horsforth, one of the leading youth musical programs in Yorkshire.

He currently resides in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
